Cheapo properties for sale in Loja and Granada

CHEAP PROPERTY FOR SALE IN LOJA
I was reading with some great interest an article in the Olive Press about the trade figures for Spanish Tourism and it was a bit of an eye opener.  It would seem that the endless sunshine and the easy going lifestyle has been a constant pull for tourists to Spain and has made Spain second only to the USA as the top tourist destination for 2011.
Tourist revenue was up a staggering 8.6% in 2011 from the previous year which in itself pumped an extra 43 billion Euros into the Spanish economy, these are the figures supplied by the World Tourism Organisation (WTO) When you consider the Spanish economy is in the midst of a double dip recession it must be more than welcome news to the beleaguered government.
Top spot went to the USA, France third and the UK 7th so it’s not bad going for Spanish tourism being second to the mighty USA. Keep an eye on this site, more tourists’ means more accommodation and anyone looking to start a rural tourist business could do well from one of our great properties. Take this property for sale in Loja, Granada we call "Remember the Fonz" it is a real bargain and would make an ideal rental property to take advantage of the tourists that head to Granada and the Sierra Nevada ski resorts in their hundreds of thousands every year. Fort Orange, Itamaraca Island, Pernambuco, Brazil

The place for fun, history, nature and dining!
Fort Orange is a superbly restored fortification originally built by the Dutch (hence the name) in the 17th Century on the Southern end of the island of Itamaraca. The beaches around the fort have developed over time into the main holiday area of the island . There are many bars and restaurants backing the beach, a nature reserve for manatee and the pick up point for boats to take you out to the unbelievable little islet of Coro Do Avio.

Access is excellent, there are shops in the area and it has become a very populat place to holiday or live permanaently.

Finally I have attached some pictures from the personal collection taken on the island by Christopher Sellars who I met through “Facebook”. They tell you a lot more than I ever could!

Marchena, Sevilla, Andalucia, Spain

Marchena, Sevilla, Andalucia, Spain

A prosperous, full service town with excellent communications surrounded by rolling agricultural land.

Marchena is a thriving, prosperous, market town in the province of Sevilla just 60 miles from the City of Sevilla and it’s airport whilst Malaga airport and the costa is about 90 minutes away with virtually the whole route on motorways.

The town has the usual long history beginning in Roman times and with buildings remaining from most eras since! Worthy of note however are the preserved remains of the old town walls including the Torre de Oro and Arco de la Rosa Gate. Then there is the parish church of San Juan Bautista and the Plaza Ducal,  a colonnaded square,

Today Marchena offers everything you need for day to day living including Doctors, Dentist, 24 hour Medical Centre, Supermarkets, Banks etc.

Local road communications are excellent with easy access to the nearby A92 Sevilla – Malaga/Granada motorway or, rather further away the A4 Sevilla – Cordoba/Madrid motorway.

Public transport includes regular, cheap, buses to Sevilla and all points North, South, East and West whilst Marchena railway station gives connections to Seville and Malaga from both of which a there are high speed rail links to Madrid and beyond.

The town is surrounded by rolling hills and rich agricultural land, La Campiña . The area is also a center for the breeding of Spanish horses and there are many stables in the area. Many of our Marchena houses are in this rolling countryside where you can enjoy country living within minutes of all mod cons.

For me the most eye catching feature of the town are the storks nests! These big birds construct huge nests on the spires and towers of the town and seem oblivious of the human life going on around them.

If you are interested in the Marchena area you should also take a look at these Country Houses in nearby La Puebla de Cazalla.

Niebla in Huelva

A beautiful, little known pueblo on the banks of the Rio Tinto in Huelva province. Easy to get to, harder to leave!

Huelva is Andalucia's westernmost province and abuts Portugal and the Algarve. It is understandably best known for the incomparable Cota Doñana nature reserve and El Rocio romaria. I shan't describe either of these attractions because they are well covered elsewhere and a visit to Google will provide all the information and photos you will ever need, and more! Less well described however is the rest of the province and this has been to it's advantage. Huelva and the Costa del la Luz have escaped the over development that scarred parts of the other costas and the invasion of mass tourism and investors seeking a quick buck. The result is pristine beaches, unspoilt scenery and a very warm welcome from local people to whom foreign visitors and residents are a pleasure rather than a plague.

My local partner, Bob Allaway lives near the beautiful, historic, town of Niebla on the banks of the Rio Tinto and will be delighted to introduce you to the local way of life as well as show you houses. This is how he describes his home town

Our village is a typical Spanish pueblo, the locals are very friendly and helpful.

The older part of the village is surrounded by a large castle wall, and has seven arched entrances, as years have passed the village has grown outside these walls. There is not a lot left of the original castle, the church is still there and has a very interesting dungeon that can be accessed, there is also an outdoor theatre within the walls.

A great location, as it is not over populated and has everything you would need for daily living, i.e. banks, post office, chemist,  supermarkets, including a covered fish, meat and vegetable market, bakeries, and lots of café/bars, 24hr medical available and a good bus route, plus a small train station. I love the fact that you can order for example any white goods in the morning and they are delivered and installed that afternoon! In Niebla you are a person not a number.

Fiestas are the norm here and they include the Sardine Fiesta, Carnival, Three Kings, Semana Santa and many more. Horse’s always play a large part in the celebrations here along with full, traditional Spanish dress making every fiesta are a wondrous sight to see.

For larger shops and other entertainment Huelva and Seville are only 30 minutes away. There is a large choice of safe sandy beaches close by, plus the Doñana National Parke, Golf courses etc.

If you fancy a weekend away, Portugal is one hour plus to the border and offers some great value breaks.
There are several international airports within easy reach, including Faro in Portugal (about 90 minutes), Seville (about an hour), Jerez (about 1 hour 40 minutes).

Home and rental business, Montoro, Cordoba

Reformed Mill in Montoro, Cordoba

Great property. Perfect home and rental opportunity. This is an easy way to fund your life in the sun; have a couple of holiday rental units attached to your home. Easy to manage, easy to maintain and excellent rental potential. Nice location as well near Montoro.

We get a lot of enquiries for B&B's and I understand the attraction - you can earn more from a smaller space but a B&B can be hard work. A home with guest units is the easy option. I also know it works - this is how I funded my move to Spain many years ago.
